Our story
From Sheet Metal To Full Service
In November 1978, Clifford and Wayne Grove, leveraging years of combined experience in the heating and air conditioning industry, founded Grove Heating and Air Conditioning. Initially operating from the Kiewel building, where White Seal Beer was once brewed, they specialized in sheet metal fabrication and primarily residential HVAC services. By 1981, the business had grown, prompting a move to the Old County Shop on Hwy 2, and later to its current location at 1001 Bruce St. Due to health reasons, Cliff sold his share of the business to his two sons, and the company expanded into light commercial HVAC. Cliff remained active, training many HVAC technicians who now serve various communities. In 1991, the company was renamed Grove Mechanical Incorporated, staying true to Cliff's vision of providing a complete customer satisfaction experience.
In February 2018, Wayne Grove retired after more than 40 years of turning his dream into reality. Today, Grove Mechanical is owned by Ryan StMichel, Wayne's nephew and Cliff's grandson, who continues to uphold the family's legacy. The company remains committed to delivering the “Hometown Heating and Cooling Professional” experience that many families have grown to expect and deserve, serving the surrounding communities with dedication and expertise.

I called Grove at noon on a Friday during the month of July, they sent their best technician Ruben. He pulled up in probably the cleanest most organized vehicle I have ever seen in my life. Brian was my tech for a 2 day deal spanning a week apart. Air exchanger cleaning which he did an awesome job and then came back at the scheduled time to also clean Air condenser. He found a few other things dirty in the house such as the HVAC blower which I also had him clean. He did fantastic on all the jobs asked of him and I didnt feel like he was rushing to leave until the job was done correctly.
Drew was very polite very informative, wouldn't mind if he came back to worked on my stuff again.
